Gates carbon belt-drive
Our carbon belt drive lasts 10 times as long as a standard metal chain. Let’s break that down: A classic chain will withhold about 3,000km — a belt drive 30,000km. Keep in mind the average cyclist rides around 5,500km a year. Don’t bother doing the maths. All you need to know is that a belt drive gets you farther. A lot farther. 900% farther. Without the fuss.
Shwalbe anti-puncture tyres
With a thick 5mm puncture-proof layer, these tyres are for safe and smooth riding through the city. They’re also made from 100% renewable materials. Which means they’re created using renewable rubber and from recycled materials, such as rubber gloves and door seals.
SRAM 2-speed Automax
Ride easy no matter the road with Olive’s 2-speed automatic gears. Lightweight and nimble, Olive flies on flat landscapes but can just as easily handle the challenge of an uphill slope (and the thrill of coming down the other side), without you needing to lift as much as a finger. Whatever speed or terrain, these gears will adjust as you do.
Aircraft-grade aluminium
A bike must ride well. But it must also move well. Carried down your apartment stairwell, lifted up and over a bridge, down to the station platform, up into the back of the car. At only 12kg, Olive can be taken with you wherever you go. Its super light weight helps with speed, too.

What's a two speed SRAM automatix gear system?

Good question. Our exceptionally fast 2-speed gears mean that there is no need to switch gears while gliding through the streets of your
hometown. Depending on pressure and speed, the gears will automatically shift from one to the other making for a perfectly smooth ride.

Are two gears enough for my city?

Well, we don’t know where you live, but we’ve been testing the Olive around London, selling bikes all over the UK, and haven’t heard any
complaints just yet. They’ve been beautifully designed to take on any hill you should encounter in urban environments. And most importantly, at speed!

Can I add racks to my bike?

Yes absolutely you can. Our bikes have mounts on both the front and back. Although we don’t sell any racks just yet, take your Olive to your local shop or buy online to find the perfect rack for you.

Why aren’t belt drives used on all bikes?

As with all quality materials, carbon belt drives are much more expensive than metal chains. You’ll typically see carbon belts on e-bikes given that they are stronger and last much longer than metal chains, which is needed due to the additional tension caused by the e-bikes torque. What does this mean
for you? They last 5-10x longer than a metal chain which means cash savings for you in the long run.

What’s so cool about the tyres?

We think doing good for the planet is pretty cool so we’ve made sure that the tyres are made from recycled materials, and are fully recyclable once more. The Schwalbe Delta Cruise Plus tyres are your best friend and your protector on the road, ensuring that you’ll (almost) never get a puncture with the super anti-puncture resistant technology. This means
less waste and more cash saved from those trips to the local repair shop.
